For the final project in my Texturing and Lighting class, we were given a head model and told to light and texture it. I really think mine was the best in the class, with the exception of the eyes. One other student blew me away there. (Great work, Tim!) I really didn’t spend much time on them, though; my attention was all on the skin. So here are my final renders:
I still have no idea why he appears to have a flashlight in his mouth in that high-angle shot. I tried adding geometry inside his head to block the scattering, but it didn’t work. I could adjust the level of translucency in his lips, but there might be a time when I want to see that scattering there. I just don’t want to see it as a result of back light.
